ON A ROLL ... James Degale

DeGale joins the glory hunt

BRITAIN'S boxers will come away from the Olympics with three medals after James DeGale booked his place in the semi-finals.

Middleweight DeGale defeated Kazakhstan's Bakhtiyar Artayev 8-3 to set up a clash with Ireland's Darren Sutherland.

Like fellow team-mates David Price and Tony Jeffries, the Londoner is now guaranteed at least a bronze.

DeGale said: "It was a fantastic win.

"You have to hit and move in amateur boxing and you will win — and I am good at it.

"I kept my focus and kept a nice high guard.

"I was dreaming about this at home on my couch and now the dream is coming true."
