LOAN CAT ... Djibril Cisse

Cisse joins the Black Cats

DJIBRIL CISSE is back in the Premier League after agreeing a season-long loan deal with Sunderland.

And Black Cats boss Roy Keane has also swooped for Fulham striker David Healy on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

Marseille hitman Cisse could make the move permament . Keane said: “This signing shows our ambitions and intentions.

“We’re delighted with the new faces we’ve brought in, we’ve been working hard all summer to significantly improve the squad.”

Cisse, 27, quit Liverpool last year after three seasons at the club.

Healy and Cisse join Teemu Tainio, Pascal Chimbonda, Steed Malbranque and El-Hadji Diouf as Sunderland's summer signings.

And Keane is hopeful his former Manchester United team-mate Healy can make a big impact at the Stadium of Light.

He said: “David will be a good signing for us.

“He has lots of experience at the top level and his international record is phenomenal.”

Healy added: “I know Roy Keane from my Manchester United days and it’s a privilege to join him at Sunderland.

“I’m well aware of the passion of the Sunderland fans, having played at the Stadium of Light a few times, and I can’t wait to get going. It’s an exciting time for me.”
